Brandon, director of secondary education
Brandon is a high school senior. He is currently Rank 1 of his graduating class, has been on the honor roll every semester since his freshman year, and is currently in his final year of the Project Lead the Way Biomedical Science pathway. Currently, Brandon serves on his school board as a student board member and is the president of the student government. He also established two clubs at his high school: Student Court which focuses on restorative justice and peer mediation, and College Ambassadors which focuses on promoting college and career readiness for all students and the community. Throughout high school career, Brandon focused on advocating for resources and creating a positive school environment that nurtures students’ talents, abilities, and encourages them to reach their goals and ambitions. He has done this by taking on many leadership roles at his school and using his voice, as well as encouraging others to do the same. Brandon aspires to continue carrying on this work of advocating for underserved, low-income, and underrepresented communities throughout his undergraduate career. His goals are to be accepted to a 4-year university, major in his field of interests such as neuroscience, education, sociology, and behavioral sciences, and eventually pursue his Ph.D. to become a researcher and professor.
